Mirror, mirror...which is the most summery and colorful DIYs of all?
Today I'll be showing you how to make this beautiful and easy DIY project. It's so colorful, I just love all these Summer colors. So, let's get to it...
Paso 1.
Lo primero que hacemos es desmontar los espejitos. Apartamos el cristal y dejamos el marco hacia un lado.
First, we'll take apart the mini mirrors. Setting apart the wooden frame and the glass.
Paso 2.
Pintaremos el marco de madera por todos los lados, lo ideal son dos capas pero depende del tipo de pintura que uses. Yo usé una pintura multisuperficie, aplicada directamente sin gesso. Dejamos secar al aire.
The second step is to paint the wooden frames, two coats of paint would be great but it really depends on the type of paint you use. I used a DIY multisurface paint, applied directly without any primer. Let it air dry.
Paso 3.
Ya seco, volvemos a montar el espejito con todas sus partes. Ahora llega la parte más divertida, las lentejuelas o el confetti. En el espejito shaker de la foto usé lentejuelas pero el otro lo llené con confetti quedan igual de bonitos. Añadimos lentejuelas a nuestro gusto.
The third step, once the frame is dry we'll have to put it all back together with all it's parts. Now, the fun part is here!! Grab your favourite sequins or confetti and fill those mirrors up. I used sequins in one and confetti in the other I made. I love how they both look!
Paso 4.
Ya estamos acabando, ahora recortar el acetato al tamaño de los espejitos. Cuando los tengas recortados los pegamos a los espejitos. Recuerda usar un adhesivo fuerte (como silicona líquida o Tacky Fuerte) ya que los marcos son de madera.
Dejamos secar.
The fourth step is really simple! Cut your acetate sheet to the size of your mirrors and glue it. Remember to use a strong adhesive since we're gluing the acetate to wood.
Paso 5.
Ahora sí que hemos llegado a la parte más divertida. ¡Uy! Creo que ya dije que el otro paso era el más divertido, es que me lo pasé tan bien haciéndolos que ya ni sé cuál fue mi parte favorita.
Toca, decorar a tu gusto. Esto me encanta, coge tus die cuts, palabras foam y enamel dots y deja volar tu imaginación.
Get ready! This is definitely the most fun step. Decorating! Grab your die cuts, foam words and enamel dots and be creative!
Yo he utilizado la mejor colección de verano, Bali de Lora Bailora, peor puedes utilizar la que prefieras. Ahora sí que sí, con este post despedimos el verano de una vez. Prepárate para las calabazas y los arbolitos de Navidad, literalmente porque con la Navidad ya a la vuelta de la esquina estaré compartiendo proyectos otoñales y navideños también.
